The sort of mechanic that is the best of both worlds, colorful and useful. Its almost like divinating tarot, except its fast, simple, and most important: Effective. Sounds like a minor gain, but now attach some inherent meaning to suits and the fact these generators are something to 'spur the imagination' vs. (Savage Worlds favors the attacker you see, so mitigating damage and pummeling as hard as you can is favored)įor randomizing uses, it feels like you are rolling 2 dice but you are in fact drawning a single card. Thanks to how dynamic it is, reseting initiative with a new set of cards every turn is fast, painless and makes combat feel more wild and chaotic while ALSO offering a chance for players to re-access how to proceed. This is not only dynamic but a new venue for strategy for the players. As soon they receive a card, they expose it so everyone knows were everybody is in line, including the foes. I quickly deal cards to everyone at the table, its blazing fast. ![]()
